The Ridgeway Volunteer Fire Company and Ladies Auxiliary recently held their 74th annual installation banquet, a cherished tradition that brings together members to honor service and welcome new leadership.
During the event, Chief Tyler Luckman presented the Firefighter of the Year award to Austin Seefeldt, acknowledging his exceptional dedication and contributions over the past year.
The ceremony also included the swearing-in of executive officers for the upcoming term. The newly appointed officers are:
- President: Greg Gilbert
- Vice President: Madison Austin
- Secretary: Marisa Gilbert
- Treasurer: Jennifer Thom
- Sergeant-at-Arms: Justin McAdoo
- Directors: Morgan Austin (3-year term), James Ryan (2-year term), Austin Mosher (1-year term)
The Ladies Auxiliary also welcomed new officers, with Town Clerk Hannah Hill officiating the swearing-in ceremony. The incoming officers are:
- President: Tracey Hendrick
- Vice President: Melissa Hansler
- Secretary/Treasurer: Joelle Brown
- Chaplain: Harriet Petrie
Reflecting on the past year, the Ridgeway Fire Company responded to a record 376 calls, including 218 EMS incidents, nine structure fires, and various mutual aid requests. The top responders were recognized for their commitment, with Don Marchner leading at 283 calls, followed closely by his grandson, Justin McAdoo, with 273 calls.
The evening concluded with a benediction by Pastor Dan Thurber and music by disc jockey JT, celebrating the unwavering dedication of the Ridgeway Fire Company members to the community.
